Procedures of competition
- The competition is entirely free of charge.
- Contestants are individuals, not groups.
- Participants should write a 300-500-word short opinion in Balinese language.
- The submission must be plagiarism-free.
- Participants can edit their submission until April 20, at 23:59 (UTC +8).
How to submit
- Submit your writing on the BASAbali Wiki website. Click here to enter the Wikithon page.
- Make sure you are logged in. Click here for sign-in/sign-up guides.
- Click “Create an Entry for Wikithon”.
- On the entry form, fill in the following fields:
- A title for your writing. Make it unique and creative in the Balinese language.
- Write your name in the “Author” field. You can use an alias, too.
- Type your affiliation on “Organization/school”.
- Select our regency/city name on “Regency/City”.
- Select “High School” in “Category”.
- Upload a photo (it will be your special thumbnail). You can use any image related to your topic. Please make sure you have permission to reuse the photo if you use a copyrighted one.
- Write the source of the photo on “Photo reference”.
- Write or paste your opinion on the “Description (Balinese)” field.
- Make sure “current issue” is chosen in the “Topic” field.
- Create a short sentence about your writing on “Summary”.
- Save the page. Wait until you see a published view. Then, find a red button “Participate in Wikithon”. Click on it.
Done. Your submission is registered. Then, go to this link to get the certificate of participation.
Winner announcement
- Nominees will be announced via BASAbali Wiki’s and Disdikpora’s official social media accounts on April 25, 2024.
- Two student nominees (male and female) from five schools in every regency/city will be eligible to attend the Bali Youth Conference.
- Students who represent their schools as participants of the Bali Youth Conference will be assisted by their Balinese language teacher.
- The Bali Youth Conference will be conducted for 2 days and 1 night in Denpasar (venue and time will be informed after the Wikithon winner announcement).
