Caption-writing contest with the question:
“What values do you want the government to learn from your choice of Ogoh-ogoh?”
This contest is for single or group participants (with maximum 3 people for each group).
Choose one of the ogoh-ogoh figures for your caption inspiration (you can choose ogoh-ogoh figures from around your neighbourhood or from other resources. It could also be from former Nyepi celebrations.
- Write an original 50-to-100-word caption in Balinese (you can use daily Balinese – ask someone for help if you don’t speak Balinese yourself).
- Upload your caption on BASAbali Wiki page. Click here to see the Wikithon page, then click [Create an entry for the Wikithon].
- Make sure you are logged in. Click here if you need help creating an account/logging-in. Then, fill in the entry form:
- Title of the caption (a unique one; in Balinese);
- A picture (for your thumbnail). Upload your most inspiring ogoh-ogoh picture for your caption. For your information, the picture will not be judged.
- Owner/photo reference. If you took the photo, put your name on “photo reference”. If you use somebody’s photo, insert the source URL or the name of the owner.
- Put your caption on the “description” box;
- Write down your name on “Artist/Contributor” (you can also use alias or your social media account);
- Write down your affiliation organisation, school, or college on “Organization/School”;
- Make sure “Ogoh-Ogoh” is selected on the “Topic” field;
- Write down a simple sentence about your caption on “Summary” field;
- Save the page, and click the red button with the sentence “Participate in the Wikithon”;
- Click here to get a participant certificate.
Let’s vote and share your ideas to find your favourite winner, and give your best comment to win the best comment category. The favourite winners of former Wikithons will not be counted in this Wikithon’s favourite winner selection.

The Favorite winner is counted based on votes that a participant gets during the voting period. Voting starts when a participant has finished creating a Wikithon entry. All participants can share their respective entry’s link to gain as many votes as possible.
