Balinese Short Opinion Wiriting and Video Competitions
Wikithon’s Topic Question:
How can we reduce waste in religious activities?
September 12 — October 27, 2024
(High school, college students, and public categories)
How to join:
- This competition is free of charge;
- Participants are individuals or groups (maximum 3 people);
- Write a short opinion piece in Balinese with a length of 80 to 150 words;
- Entries must be original and free from plagiarism;
- Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Originality;
- Creativity;
- Strength of the message conveyed;
- Relevance (suitability of the work with the specified topic).
- The work is not included in other competitions;
- The competition takes place on September 12 – October 27, 2024
(Special category for village delegates per district/city)
- This competition is free of charge;
- Participants are individuals or groups (maximum 3 people);
- Create a Balinese-language video with a maximum duration of 3 minutes (only for the regency/city delegation village category);
- Entries must be original and free from plagiarism;
- Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

A title for your entry. Be creative and unique. Write it in three languages (Balinese, Indonesian, English);
Upload your entry in Balinese language on Balinese field. Indonesian and English are optional;
Special for video competition, please upload your video on YouTube. Then, paste the YouTube URL on “Video” field.
Upload representative image that has no copyright restrictions. It will be your cover;
Choose participant category that you want to join di kolom “Kategori”
Fill in your identity: affiliation (your organization, school, college, community, etc.), gender, and age.
Important: According to the privacy policy, BASAbali Wiki does not ask participants to include their real names in Wikithon entries to maintain the confidentiality of participants' identities. Wikithon winners will be announced by displaying their username. So, make sure you always remember your username.

Village Representative Category of Every Regency/City Delegates in Bali
- First Winner: Rp1,750,000.00 + trophy + certificate
- Second WInner: Rp1,500,000.00 + trophy + certificate
- Third Winner: Rp1,250,000.00 + trophy + certificate
Hich School Category
- First Winner: Rp1,000,000.00 + trophy + certificate
- Second Winner: Rp750,000.00 + trophy + certificate
Favorite Category: Rp500,000.00
The favorite champion is determined based on the number of votes on the BASAbali Wiki website page obtained during the voting process. Voting can be done after participants have finished uploading their writing. Participants can share links to get as many votes as possible.
College Student and Public Category: Rp1,000,000.00
This category is specifically for students/public. The single winner is entitled to cash of Rp1,000,000.00 along with a certificate.
The Best Comment Category: Rp250,000.00
The public can add Balinese comments to the work uploaded by participants of Wikithon Public Participation-Bali Lestari. The two most interesting and inspiring comments will receive cash prizes of Rp125,000.00 each.
